Cornerstone Church Basic Beliefs

The Bible  - We believe the Bible is the Word of God. It is without error, written under the inspiration of God's Spirit, and is the final authority in all we believe and do.

God: The Trinity  -  We believe, as the Bible says, that God exists in three equally divine and sinless persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) who execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence and salvation.

The New Birth of the Believer  -  We believe that man was created by God in His own image; that man sinned and thereby incurred physical, spiritual, and eternal death, which is separation from God. All human beings are born with a sinful nature and are under condemnation because they are sinners by choice. Those who repent and turn from sin to follow Jesus Christ as Savior are "born again" spiritually, delivered from condemnation and receive new and eternal life.

Jesus Christ  - Our highest aim is to glorify Jesus Christ in all we do, by a glad devotion.

Lost People  -  Lost people matter to God. Reaching them with the love of Jesus Christ must not only be our Mission, but a passion expressed in all we do as a church, with mercy and goodness.

Family  -  We are more than an organization; God has made us a family. We endeavor to treat each other with a family-like love, respect and commitment.

Children and Youth  -  Every child is a precious gift from God.

Relationships  -  In everything, we want to demonstrate a servant attitude.

Integrity  -  We aim to do  the right thing, regardless of expediency.
